Right or Wrong

Was it the right thing to do?
Telling my mom what my dad was up to?
Why he was always encouraging me to invite over my best friend
Why he would send me to go do some thing because she and him had to 'talk'
Why he always seemed to go on 'trips'
Almost every weekend
She was only sixteen
She didn't know any better
She hardly knew what love was
But he taught her every thing
All the right moves to make
All the right sounds to make
They would meet up at motels
And have a reunion
So now I ask myself if it was the right thing to do
Having her abandon me
And my dad hate me
But I think it was the right thing to do
